Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life - one where you will want to look and feel your best. Having your make up professionally applied ensures that you are at your most radiant, and that your make up will last all through the day until the end of your party!  “Beauty in HD” can provide a first class service designed to make your special day memorable so that you can feel calm, relaxed and oozing with confidence.  We have over 5 years experience in the beauty business as a make up artist.

Telephone Screening

We encourage you to call us to have all of your questions answered. Please be able to provide the following information.

·         Date of wedding

·         Location of events

·         Date of wedding photo shoot if different

·         Number of individuals in wedding party

·         Self description with information on any allergies and special request

Trail Session

Prior to your wedding day, a make-up trial is essential for the bride. This is to ensure that you are absolutely satisfied and the perfect look is achieved, and that you have no sensitivities to the products used.  A trial should take place 4-8 weeks before the wedding day; by this time you should know how you are wearing your hair, your color scheme, and any accessories. These details are important and must be considered when deciding what colors to use. It is absolutely fine should you wish to have a trial earlier than 4/6 weeks.  We will travel to your home, or wherever is most convenient for you. (Please see areas covered in Travel section.)

Ideally, the trial should take place in daylight. This allows me to match the foundation to your skin tone so that it blends perfectly and compliments your complexion, achieving the most natural, flawless look possible. It’s often helpful to cut out images from magazines of any styles you like, and we will explore any looks you wish to create, and decide on the best one for you.  Adjustments will be made until you are 100% happy with the make-up. We will record the products and colors used, and produce a face chart of the way the make-up has been applied in order to reproduce the look exactly on your wedding day. “Beauty in HD” will also provide professional tips to ensure that the make-up lasts as long as possible throughout the ceremony, photographs and reception.

Wedding Photo Shoot

Some brides prefer to have their photographs taken on a different day to their wedding, in order for the wedding to be a more relaxing day.  In this instance, “Beauty in HD” will complete full make-up on the day that the photographs are taken. If you are taking pictures on the same day as wedding please assure there is enough preparation time for you to feel beautiful and relaxed.

The Big Event: Your Wedding Day

On your wedding day, make-up for the bridesmaids, mother of the bride, and any other special guests will be done first, with your make-up last to ensure the look is fresh.  We will prepare your skin to ensure you look healthy and radiant, and spend as long as necessary with the make-up. The timing for this will have been calculated and discussed at the trial, and we will arrive on the day with plenty of time allowed. “Beauty in HD”  will visit you at home or at the wedding venue on your wedding day and recreate the look achieved at the trial. We will go over the advice and tips discussed at the trial - such as powder and blotting paper. As an additional service, “Beauty in HD” will be available throughout the day to apply any touch-ups to the make-up or any adjustments you would like for the reception.  

FASHION / GLAMOUR

Contact us if you need a capable and experienced make-up professional for fashion shows, fashion or commercial photography, promotional work. Offering professional make up services for fashion models, and models or actors on commercial photography shoots.  “Beauty in HD” is accustomed to close collaboration with photographers who require particular effects from their models' make-up, and we’re very familiar with the special demands of make-up for studio lighting. An efficient and well-coordinated team player, we’re used to working swiftly and accurately within a demanding schedule. Recent work has included professional make-up services for Perfect Image Photography, Stevenson Art Photography, Fred Davis Photography and Shabang Photography. “Beauty in HD”  have also worked with numerous professional models in the area; references available upon request. Our skills and knowledge are always up to date, and we monitor the latest fashions and trends in the industry, as well as new products and techniques.

TELEVISION PRODUCTION

With personal experience as a model / actress I (Victoria- CEO “Beauty in HD”) have had the opportunity to provide “on air” make up for myself as well as television personalities. From television commercials, military recruitment videos, public service announcements, and reality television productions; my work transients  all media outlets. Due to my personal experience I have developed a high level of awareness of what is needed in front of the camera. I am available for audition, test footage, one day assignments and multi-week productions.

PAGEANTRY

Having the honor of representing the state of Virginia in numerous pageants on the national level; I have a complete grasp of what is needed for make up in the pageant arena. With a personal wide arrange of competition experience I am qualified to provide make up services for natural pageants, pro/am/ glitz pageants as well as modeling competitions.  I can provide services backstage, in your hotel room, or provide a lesson before your event, it is important for your overall success that a professional assures your overall look.

Weddings

·         Bridal Airbrush- $150.00

·         Bridal Party Airbrush - $150.00

·         Conventional  Make up - $100.00

·         Bridal Party Standard rate: $75.00 for touch up / $100.00 Conventional

·         Trail Session: $75.00 plus travel

·         Lashes: $35.00 per set.

Production – television & photography

·         Full Day- $650.00 ( 5 to 8 hours)

·         Half Day - $350.00 (2 to 5 hours)

Fashion / Glamour

·         Individual model photo shoot – acting- $35.00 per hour

·         Individual model photo shoot – fashion- $50.00 per hour

Travel

1. Any travel within 25 miles of Newport News, VA - no charge - no lodging required

Road Travel

1. Any travel from 26 to 100 miles - $50.00 travel fee - no lodging required

2. Any travel 101 miles or more will be $50.00 base payment plus .57cents a mile afterwards - lodging to be determined at time of booking.

Air Travel - Rail Travel

1. Client is responsible for purchase of ticket

2. Client is responsible for ground transportation to and from airport.

3. Client is responsible for overnight lodging if needed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What products are used?

 All the products used are hypoallergenic, such as Clinique, Estee Lauder, Lancôme and Mac. These premier products blend beautifully for a truly professional outcome that will last all day long. However we can be available for touch ups if needed.

How long will the trial take, and what is involved?

The trial is a chance for you to meet with us and feel confident in our ability as well as giving us the opportunity to see what styles and colors suit you. It is very important to hear your ideas mixed with our creative style as to achieve the finished look, which will be unique to you.

Will you come to me for the trial and on the day? 

A date will be arranged for the trial, generally “Beauty in HD” will come to you for this, or whatever is most convenient for you. On the day of your wedding “Beauty in HD” will ALWAYS come to you, whether at home or at a hotel, wherever the location.

I don’t like wearing heavy make-up or any at all, why do I need to on my wedding day? 

“Beauty in HD” will always consider your personality when creating your look. A ‘natural’ look or a ‘barely there’ look is no problem, but what you must consider is the fact that you are hiring a professional photographer using professional equipment, such as a high velocity flash, this can make a face without any make-up disappear.

Make-Up applied by a make-up artist will enhance your features without giving you that made-up look.
